Description
Commonly called Green and Gold or Goldenstar, Chrysogonum virginianum is a low-growing and spreading North American native perennial plant that thrives in full shade to part shade where it might reach 6 inches tall by 18 or more inches wide. Pretty, bright yellow, daisy-like flowers rise just above the attractive bright green foliage from mid spring to mid-fall in cool summer climates and spring and fall in warmer climates. Each cute flower has five petals and a center tuft of yellow disk flowers.

Growing to about 6 inches tall and spreading18 inches or more, Green and Gold Chrysogonum is ideal for use as a border along paths or around patios. Also an attractive small or large space groundcover. A fine addition to shady woodland gardens or anywhere where there’s shade.
